Privacy Policy

Moco Maps ("we", "us") operates the Moco Maps iOS app. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

Email address — to create and authenticate your account.
Username and display name — shown to other users.
Profile photo — if you choose to upload one.
Hangout data — locations, names, notes, and RSVPs you create.
Friend connections — who you add and who adds you.

We do not collect your device's GPS location. Hangout locations are placed manually by you on the map.

How we use it

All data is used solely to operate the app. We do not sell your data, run ads, or share it with third parties.

Data storage

Data is stored on Supabase (supabase.com), hosted on AWS. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the app. This immediately removes your profile, hangouts, RSVPs, and all associated data.

Children

Moco Maps is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email us at mocomapshelp@gmail.com and we will delete it.

Terms of Service

By using Moco Maps you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Moco Maps.

Your account

You are responsible for all activity under your account. Keep your credentials secure.

User content — zero tolerance policy

You may not post content that is sexually explicit, violent, harassing, hateful, threatening, or illegal. Violations result in immediate account removal. We reserve the right to remove any content and ban any account at our sole discretion.

Reporting

Use the in-app flag button to report violations. We review all reports within 24 hours.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms.

Disclaimer

Moco Maps is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.
